What the night actually looks like.
You’ve booked it, the date is coming, and you’d like to know what you’re walking into. Here’s the day from our side of it — who turns up when, what we do, and the handful of moments that are actually yours.
From our van pulling up to the last table folded
We arrive before your guests
Well before. The tables come in, get positioned, and get dressed — felt, chips, cards, the lot. You’ll want to be reachable in case there’s a question about where things go, but you don’t need to be standing over us.
The floor goes up
Tables land where the room works best, not necessarily where you first pictured them. Craps wants space around it because that’s where the crowd ends up. Blackjack and roulette can sit tighter. If the room has an awkward corner, that’s usually where the quietest game goes.
Doors open, and nothing happens yet
This is normal. Guests arrive, find a drink, find the people they know, and look at the tables from a distance. Almost nobody walks straight up to a craps table cold. Give it twenty minutes.
The first hand breaks the ice
Someone brave sits down, a dealer walks them through it, and the room notices that the person playing isn’t being judged. That’s the turn. From there the tables fill up on their own and your job for the rest of the night is mostly to enjoy it.
The middle of the night
Tables run, people drift between them, and the dealers keep teaching whoever sits down. If a game is dead and another has a queue, we’ll say so — sometimes it’s worth moving a dealer across rather than leaving a table cold.
Last call at the tables
We announce it, so nobody is mid-hand when the floor closes and nobody is surprised. Tell us what time you want this to land and we’ll work back from it.
Chips in, prizes out
Guests trade their chips for raffle tickets and you run the drawing. This is your moment rather than ours — our dealers close the tables down while you’ve got the room’s attention. How the raffle works
We pack out
Tables come apart, everything goes back in the van, and you get the room back the way we found it. You don’t need to stay to the end of this. Plenty of hosts have gone home before the last table is folded.
The short list of things only you can do
Be reachable while we set up, in case there’s a question about the room. Decide what time the tables close. Bring the raffle prizes and run the drawing. Tell us in advance about anything awkward — stairs, a tight doorway, a loading door on the far side of the building.
